All my multiple exposures are created on film and in camera (so the negative is exposed multiple times). I originally started with blind double exposures, meaning I would shoot the whole roll of film once, reload it in the camera at the beginning again, shoot it through a second time (not really remembering what I shot the first time) and then loving the lucky creation of my images. I then got a Nikon FE2 which allowed me to expose a frame multiple times, one after another, which meant I could be much more strategic and intentional with my image placement and could work to a vision of the final image, as I could remember exactly what I had shot in what composition. Each way of achieving a multiple exposure has a special place in my heart depending on how much of the outcome I want to control at the time.
